Heaven is myth, Nepal is real. This Heritage Tour (Itinerary RTT-01) covers Kathmandu and Nagarkot over 3 nights and 4 days. In Kathmandu you will visit famous landmarks like the Swyambhunath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and historic Durbar Squares filled with temples and palaces. In Nagarkot you will enjoy some of the most stunning views in Nepal, including the Himalayan mountain range, making it a great way to experience the best of the valley in a short amount of time.

Itinerary

Arrival Kathmandu
Arrival at TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport) where our representative will be there to welcome the guest. Our representative and driver from our office will meet the guest at the airport and assist and escort them to the hotel or resort. The representative will assist the guest to check in to the designated hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities, then spend the day visiting the local area on your own. Night stay at hotel/resort in Kathmandu.

Sightseeing around Kathmandu
Early morning breakfast at the hotel. The guest starts the sightseeing tour of a few places in Kathmandu, covering: Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest temple for Hindus dedicated to Lord Shiva and also a site for Hindu cremation; Boudhanath Stupa, the world's largest stupa of Tibetan Buddhist culture; Patan Durbar Square, an open museum showcasing intricately carved windows and roof struts of gods and goddesses dedicated to Lord Krishna, where guests can also visit the handicraft center in Patan; and lastly Swyambhunath Stupa, a nearly 2,500-year-old site believed to be where the Radiant Lotus of the valley settled when the water was drained by Manjushree, the God of wisdom. Evening free to stroll around the local bazaars. Night stay at hotel/resort in Kathmandu.

Drive to Nagarkot - approx. 28 km
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Nagarkot. Enroute you can visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square on the way by paying an additional charge; it is a 28 km drive from Kathmandu. Check in to the designated hotel in Nagarkot. In the evening watch the spectacular sunset from the hotel. Night stay at hotel/resort.

Departure from Kathmandu
Early morning watch the sunrise, a panoramic view of Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east, from this small village seated at about 7,500 feet altitude. On a fine day one can even see the tip of Mount Everest from here. After breakfast, check out from the hotel for a roughly 35 km drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the international airport for your onward journey.
